We facilitate a ukulele program in your workplace.

All we need is 20 people, a meeting room and an opportunity to get the word out through your email system.

We handle booking/registration at UKOPOLIS.com.

Our program starts at square one so that everyone gets an equal grounding in the basics that even those who can already play will find useful. Rent or buy a uke from us or bring your own.

A perfect way to spend summer mornings in the urban setting of Toronto's Brewery Lofts makes this a wonderfully unique experience.

Get in on the week best-suited to your experience.

New Players 4 mornings, 8:45-noon (rain or shine)

For those with little or no ukulele experience. Includes content from our popular UKE-101 and UKE-201 offerings and more.

Experienced Players 5 mornings 8:45-noon (rain or shine)

Prerequisite: you should be able to transition fluidly between these chords: C F G7 Am Dm E7

UKE-101express 1 x 3h | plus 3 x 2h

This is an introductory workshop for those who have had NO previous ukulele playing experience.

It begins at ground zero and is very basic.

2 versions are offered. Both cover the same ground, but at a different pace:

UKE 101express is ideal for those who have some music experience

1 session x 3h

UKE 101plus is perfect for those who never thought they had a natural bent toward music

3 sessions x 2h over 3 weeks

UKE-201 3h

a sophomore's refinement of chord and strum

 

This is the next step for those who have previously attended UKE-101.

You are ready for this workshop when you can transition fluidly between any combination of these chords:

This series is aimed at opening doors to new right hand options for technique, rhythms, patterns, and textures.

ChordCamp 6 days x 2h

What's makes Cdim different from Cdim7? What's the difference between F7 and Fmaj7?

Why is it sometimes Am7 and sometimes C6 even though they sound identical?

What does the "sus" mean in Dsus4? How do you interpret the "/" in G/D?

Chordal awareness is an important aspect of ukulele enlightenment and a very worthwhile pursuit on your musical journey.

To understand chords, you must first understand intervals. To understand intervals, you need to know how to read music. Reading music involves at least 3 dimensions: time, pitch and shape (phrasing, dynamics, articulation). We take you on a ground-up exploration of the what chords are made of.

WEEK 1 uke painting! make it uniquely yours by painting and decorating it under the supervision of an elementary school art specialist.
