We are serious about the importance
of music in our lives, each having taken its study to a higher level at some point.
We play traditional chamber repertoire for strings but dabble in jazz, pop, rock, soul, folk, and tango. We love trying new things, to collaborate and we resonate with opportunities that open new doors.
Five tenets distinguish CCO from other community orchestras:
No fees to be a member
No auditions: joining is assessed on musical ability and experience, non-artistic potential and "fit"
No one is paid, not even our Music Director
All members contribute to our artistic, marketing and administrative welfare
We are totally self-sustaining and have never applied for public funding

At our helm, Paul McCulloch, Music Director
In addition to teaching strings at Havergal College, Paul's conducting credits include the Hart House Chamber Orchestra, the Huronia Symphony Orchestra, the Royal Conservatory Chamber Orchestra and the Hamilton Philharmonic Youth Orchestra. An accomplished cellist, Paul performs frequently with CCO.
We are grateful to the congregation and administration of Little Trinity for their generous accommodation of our rehearsal and performance schedule.
In addition to our 9-month season at Little Trinity, we perform at special events which have included a Led Zeppelin tribute broadcast live on Q107 from the Hard Rock Cafe, at the 2008 Toronto Interior Design Show opening gala and a fundraising gala for Toronto's magnificent Evergreen Brickworks. If Arcade Fire were looking for an orchestra to collaborate with, we would be their ideal choice.
We rehearse Tuesday evenings, 7:30pm at Little Trinity and are grateful to its congregation for alllowing to call the church our home for several years.
